The Kids Cove

Bring the kids to the Kids Cove! The Kids Cove will keep the younger generation of boaters captivated with the marine and boating lifestyle.

The New Jersey Sea Grant Consortium will have activities that will allow the little boaters to have hands-on experience casting a fishing pole and learn about local marine life while making a take home craft on Saturday & Sunday! The NJ Sea Grant Consortium is located on Sandy Hook and conducts marine science research and education. Be sure to visit NJSeaGrant.org to learn more about the organization and the activities going on at Sandy Hook.

The Cooper Environmental Center at Cattus Island County Park in Toms River will be there all day on Sunday and will be offering make-and-take children's activities! They will also have a table filled with natural wonders for young and old to discover. Check out the Cooper Environmental Center website for more information on the park and programs they offer.

Marine Safety Presentations
"Everything Eventually ends up in the Water"

Join The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary as they present on Marine Safety and Environmental Awareness. See and learn what you can do to make a difference to where we all live, work and play. This is an educational, interactive, eye-opening presentation.

Free Children’s Boating Safety & Environmental Classes

These free ½ hour classes will include information on boating safety for children using a boating safety coloring book making it a fun and exciting learning experience. Each child will receive a PFD Panda Award Certificate indicating they promise to use a life jacket when heading out on to the water. Classes are presented by NJ Boating Safety Classes, www.njboat.org.
